  1. Looks so yummy and easy. My kind of recipe. How many servings is this for?

  2. I made it for this morning and the family LOVED it! My non-breakfast eating group walked downstairs saying "What smells so good?" They thanked me over and over again liked I had spent hours making it. ;-)

  9. I bet ripe figs and a bit of ground ginger would be great too in this recipe. Yummy.

  10. Sorry- not sure how this has any positive reviews. I made it (followed recipe exactly) with high hopes that it would be good. No- soggy, bland, yucky mess! Was not good at all! Again- sorry but this was not a hit in my house! :(

    4. I agree. It was not very good. It was runny and had a strange taste. I would not make it again.

    7. The basic recipe is good. The problem is with the directions. DO stir it up, and cook on WARM, not low. Low is too hot for cooking this long, warm gets it just right!

    4. Steel cut oats are the way to go, they do not turn to mush! Previous post is correct, definitely mix it up. I found the original recipe to be a bit bland, so I added extra apple, extra brown sugar, extra cinnamon, a pinch of salt and cloves. Also I like to use 2 cups milk and 2 cups water instead of all water, it is creamy and perfect! I serve it with either honey or maple syrup on top.
